Children change almost overnight. The chubby cheeks, the toothless grins, the way they run with their whole body - these are moments that feel permanent until suddenly they aren't. My goal is to document your child as they are right now, in a way that feels true to them.

Focusing with intention on expressions and budding personalities is only part of what I do. I want you to remember our experience every time you see your child's album or wall art - the joy of that day, the way they laughed, how small their hands were.

Sessions are relaxed and child-paced. I follow their lead, work with their energy, and find the magic in the in-between moments. We don't force the perfect pose - we capture the perfect child.

What is the best age for a child portrait session?

Every age is the right age - truly. Babies shine from about 6 months (sitter sessions), toddlers bring wonderful energy, and school-age children are a joy to work with because they're expressive and can take direction. If anything, I recommend booking more often than you think you need to, because they change so fast.

What if my child is shy or uncooperative?

This is the most common concern parents have - and one of the least warranted. I've worked with all kinds of kids and I know how to meet them where they are. We go at their pace, we make it fun, and the real, genuine moments are almost always the most beautiful ones anyway.

What should my child wear?

After booking you'll receive a full wardrobe guide. In general: avoid busy patterns and large logos, choose colors that complement each other if it's a sibling session, and most importantly - dress them in something comfortable that feels like them. Uncomfortable children do not make for happy photos.

How long is a typical session?

Most children's sessions run about 30 minutes to 1 hour, which is the sweet spot before little ones start to fade. We'll discuss the right timing during your planning consultation.

Can parents be in the photos too?

Absolutely - and I highly encourage it. Some of the most treasured images families order are the ones with mom or dad in the frame. We'll make time for family frames alongside the individual child portraits.

Do you do cake smash sessions?

Yes! Cake smash sessions are one of the most fun things I do. They're typically done in the studio around a child's first birthday and your choice in backdrop. Cakes are provided by the client, along with any special decorations. Reach out to start planning one.
